Hi my name is Matthew Coxhead. Most people simply know me as Matt.. My aim is
to provide a quality service to all my customers, at a fair price. I have a very good reputation for what
I do, but up to 2 years ago I had always worked for someone else. I have had a very successful 2 years now working
I joined Leyland Auto in 1994 and trained in the first ever modern apprenticeship as an auto electrician.
After four years I qualified to NVQ Level 3 and was taken on as a fully qualified auto electrician at Leyland Auto.
In the 13 Years at Leyland Auto I gained a vast experience in the automotive industry in all Auto Electrical.
Here I was classed as a major part of the team, responsible for some staff and apprentices. When
asked, I could oversee Workshop to company satisfaction. I did a lot of jobs in house and also at customer
premises, producing a high standard of workmanship. In the last 5 years at Leyland auto I was mainly working mobile, working
under my own initiative, providing good workmanship, extending my skills, communication, and was asked for by customers to
personally attend jobs. I pride myself in my skills of diagnosing and problem solving as well as the quality
of my work.
I gained a vast knowledge in most systems. Trained in most aspects of vehicle diagnostics and fault
finding. Approved for fitting most electrical automotive electrical systems including Tracking systems,
navigation, air conditioning, speed limiters air + water heating, phones, stereos, repairing
starters, alternators wiring looms, and much more. I have worked on all types of vehicles including boats,
cars, vans, trucks, trailers and plant. Most of my work at the end had been commercial and plant due to
the way the market is going.
I then worked for Woodend vehicle hire limited. (Later had name change to WVH). I worked
for them for 4 ½ years where I was their only auto electrician. I was part of a very strong team.
I was responsible for the auto electrical side to do with the fleet of in access of 400 vehicles. These
range of specialist vehicles meant I worked on 3.5/7.5 ton tippers, welfare/mess vans, hook loader, sweepers, gulleys and
a big range of refuge vehicles.
I am known for my skills in my industry and sometimes was hired off competitors to repair their vehicles.
I specialize still in diagnostics, bypass repairs and major repairs. I worked to a high standard,
but yet creating cost effective quick repairs when the situation is needed.
I look forward to hear from
you. I am sure I can save you money and time by diagnosing and repairing auto electrical faults for you
quickly and cost effectively. I am sure, if you require any new components fitting, then I will be able
to provide a competitive quote, with a quality workmanship you will be very happy with.
